About ULFED

The Civil Society Organizations’ Platform (ULFED) is an independent, non-profit union and a legal entity registered with the Turkish “Directorate General for Relations with Civil Society”. It includes Syrian-origin, Turkish-established civil society organizations. It works on developing the coherence of Syrian civil society institutions within the Turkish context. This is achieved through enhancing communication, supporting capacity building, and creating a legal environment.

The Civil Society Organizations Platform was established in 2021 with the merger of the Federation of Civil Society Organizations, which dates back to 2012, and the Syrian Associations Platform, which dates back to 2014, based on the necessity of raising the level of cooperation and coordination between Syrian civil society organizations registered in Turkey, and in an effort to raise the level of interaction.
